Frederyk is currently the Director of Business Development at Elevance Renewable Sciences. In this role, Frederyk’s primary focus is the identification of commercial options in specialty chemicals space. Frederyk also helps establish collaborative development partnerships in US, Europe, Canada and Latin America.
Prior to Elevance, Frederyk was the Director of Technical Marketing at Solazyme. He led efforts aimed at identifying commercial opportunities for the company’s technology in a number of markets including polymers, solvents, oilfield chemicals and lubricants. Frederyk co-authored a number of patents for Solazyme’s tailored oils.
Previously Frederyk led Technology Strategy and Commercial Development roles for Amyris and Amyris Brasil, with a focus on business development and establishing and operating strategic development alliances in a variety of market segments. Frederyk executed key deals to enable Amyris’ successful IPO in September 2010. Frederyk also spent time as an investment associate while working at Applied Ventures, the venture capital arm of Applied Materials.
Frederyk received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT and his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from University of Minnesota.
