Dr. Kim de Mora is the Director of Development for the iGEM Foundation and has over a decade of experience in Synthetic Biology. Kim was on the first iGEM team from Scotland and received one of the first Synthetic Biology doctorates in the UK. During his studies, Kim was an invited Research Associate at Harvard Medical School and had his early career profiled in the Journal Science. After joining the iGEM Foundation in 2012, he built the current iGEM judging program and recruited over 800 members of the Synthetic Biology community to judge at Jamborees. Kim now is now responsible for representing iGEM at international meetings, scouting for new judges for the iGEM Giant Jamboree and building new partnerships with sponsors.
