Adrienne Higa Berkeley Lights

Adrienne Higa is the Senior Manager of Product Applications at Berkeley Lights, Inc. Berkeley Lights is dedicated to the development of transformational technologies that impact research, development, and production in the fields of biopharmaceuticals and synthetic biology. Berkeley Lights’ BeaconTM is an optofluidic platform that uses nanoliter-scale chambers and structured light to manipulate, screen, and select across thousands of individual cells. Currently, Adrienne directs collaborations with leading pharmaceutical companies that are focused on using the Beacon platform to increase sample diversity and throughput while compressing timelines. Through such collaborations, Berkeley Lights has developed, for example, a process for rapid screening of CHO cells to optimize biotherapeutic production. Adrienne received her Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley, where she developed new microdevices for interrogating cellular behavior.
