Elizabeth Clarke Industrial Microbes

Elizabeth Clarke is a co-founder and the CTO of Industrial Microbes, a synthetic biology start up that is developing new ways to convert natural gas into industrial chemicals. She was a founding member of theteam that built a commercial microorganism for fatty alcohol production at LS9,now REG Life Sciences. Elizabeth earned her PhD in Biophysics from UC SanFrancisco in the lab of Christopher Voigt, and graduated with a BA in Physicsfrom UC Berkeley. She has been engineering metabolic and signaling pathways in bacteria for over a decade.
