Joyce Yang is a scientist at Synthego, where she is a part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for new product development and automating CRISPR genome engineering workflows. Prior to joining Synthego, Joyce worked with Dr. George Church during her Ph.D to develop foundational CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering tools for human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and in situ RNA sequencing technology. Joyce received her B.A. from University of California – Berkeley, and her Ph.D. from Harvard University, where she served as President of the Taiwanese Student Association and teaching fellow for Harvard’s iGEM team.
